Features
The main features of MCTWare are:
For example, ABC Airways has three users, Larry, Moe, and Curly. All three users access their airline account with the same password. There may be a user named Larry for the Fly XYZ airline, but they are not the same user because they each belong to a different airline.
Therefore, the person that creates the first Airline Account must distribute the shared password to each person that will be using MCTWare. Each person will create a new user account with a unique username under their respective airline, but they must all use the same password for creating their accounts as well as accessing MCTWare.
The next page contains a form that must be filled out in order to process your request. If you are a new airline and want to use MCTWare, you need to provide the information requested in the grey entry boxes. If you are a new user of an existing airline, you may enter either your airline's company name or their IATA designator in the dark blue entry box. The remainder of the form must be filled out in both circumstances.
Note that if you are a new user of an existing airline, you MUST have the password that the original user supplied when defining your airline in MCTWare. This controls access to your data so that other people cannot create an account under your airline and access your data.
While creating a new account, you will also be able to create your email distribution list for publishing your MCT data. If you do not create any addresses when creating your account, you will be able to create them later from the Preferences page.
In addition to defining your email list, you can also set your user preferences regarding MCT data fields. For example, you might not care to record a Country, City, and State for each MCT record. By toggling these data fields off, you will not see them when using MCTWare. If at a later point in time, you would like to use these fields, you can go the Preferences page and enable them.
NOTE: Please make sure you Logout of the system after you are done working. This will ensure proper access control for the next time you log in, or the system may assume that you are already logged in and prevent you from re-logging in!
In the event that you forget to logout, the system will automatically log you out if you have been idle for more than 60 minutes. This might be seen as an inconvenience if you are logged in to the system, but have not done anything within that length of time, and subsequently get automatically logged out. If you are logged in and idle, the system has no way of knowing if you have been logged in idle, or that you just forgot to log out. Therefore, to avoid any confusion, you may want to log out immediately after making your changes and then log in again the next time you need to access the system.
We appreciate your understanding in this area as we do our best to provide a secure repository of your MCT data and secure access to it.
To log into MCTWare as a Guest, you must select the desired airline, enter the Guest password, and click the Guest Login button. If the specified airline allows Guest access and you have supplied the proper Guest password, you will be granted read-only access to that airline's MCT data. You will not be able to add, modify, or delete MCT data. You also will not be allowed to publish the airline's MCT data while logged in as a Guest.
After you have successfully logged in to MCTWare, the navigation menu will appear at the top of your browser's window. You will use the buttons to navigate to the various features of the system. It contains the following elements from left to right:
The Home Page also displays the current number of MCT records in the database for your airline. There is also a convenient list of links for the most common features of MCTWare.

Unless you are logged in as a Guest, the search results will be displayed in a form allowing you to make modifications. You can modify or delete as many records as you like and then click the Save Changes button. To permanently delete a record, tag it with the checkbox to the far right and then click the Delete Tagged button.
Publishing button
Preferences button
The lower half of the Preferences page allows you to manage your distribution list as well. You can add, delete, or modify your addresses.

However, if you follow this link while you are logged in,
you will exit your current MCTWare session without logging out! If you
try to log back in, you will get a warning message declaring that
that user (you!) is currently logged in and you will have to wait for
the grace period to expire before the system will automatically log you
back out. The link in the MCTWare graphic is provided as a link to
take you back to the MCTWare login page if you are automatically logged
out while using MCTWare and need an easy way to return to the Home page.
You will most likely begin by entering your MCT data. You may either click the "Add new MCT records" link, the "Import MCT records", or click the "Add MCT" button in the navigation bar.
After adding a few MCT records, you can view your record by using the "Browse" button in the navigation bar. You may limit the search results by entering in values for some of the search parameters. You can also enter in a sort order for your matching results.
The matching results of your Browse allow mass editing. Simply make any changes to the data that you like and click the Save Changes button. If you wish to delete records, toggle the checkbox to the far right of the assocaited record and hit the Delete Tagged button to have the permanently removed.
Entering and viewing your MCT data is nice, but useless unless you can distribute your data to others. Use the Publish Page to send your MCT data to as many email addresses as you like. You may also select the format of your data to be either text, HTML, CSV, or XML.
This is YOUR site! The key to making it into useful tool is your continued participation and feedback. We welcome and encourage your involvement to help us make a better product for you. Please don't be shy, send your comments and suggestions to mctware-feedback@GoldenWare.com.
Probably the most common error you will find when you begin to use MCTWare is that you did not supply a required field, or made a typographical error while entering data. When you try to submit the data, you will be presented with an error dialog box similar to the one shown below describing the error.
If you encounter an error, you should use your browser's Back button to return to the previous page and correct the error. You will also see a similar dialog box if there are values that are not considered normal and require user verification to accept. These warnings will look identical to the errors, but the error message will appear with a yellow background and a yellow smiley face. If the error dialog box only contains warning messages, you will see a Continue button that you can press to accept the values in their present form.
In some, probably rare cases, you may enter an invalid character when specifying a schedule name, or other text field. You may not use any of the following characters in ANY text field.
$ # ~ ` ( ) { } [ ] % ^ & * = + | \ ? < > ' " ;
These characters have special meaning within the backend database, or the code used to generate the HTML pages you are viewing. These special characters, if allowed to be used, would either corrupt your data, or break the HTML pages. Thank you for your understanding and choosing other alphanumeric characters for your text.
